A native of Kansas City, Missouri, but I have called the Peach State home for more than a decade. Just a month after accepting my college diploma, I moved halfway across the country to start my post-grad “dream job” with Alpha Delta Pi Sorority Executive Office, in a city where I did not know a soul. In a matter of six years I went from a Collegiate Chapter President of a large Midwest university, to the Member Services Manager; supporting the membership experience for 160 collegiate chapters and 155 alumnae associations across the U.S. and Canada.
I transferred this collegiate knowledge to the branding and creative services industry, serving as an account manager for a small agency; where my primary clientele were other Fraternity & Sorority headquarters. Here is where I was able to flourish in a more creative capacity, aiding in major brand renovations, website design/development and fundraising campaigns.
Fast forward to today, I took what some may call a hard left turn to the corporate world in the luxury automotive industry. What do collegiate services and cars have in common? In truth, very little - aside from a similar chapter/franchise organizational structure, but on a much larger, global scale. Using my project management expertise, I now lead a national internal and external corporate communications strategies, managing multiple employee engagement platforms for more than 1,600 colleagues.
Outside of my “day job,” I translate 20+ years of dance training into the fitness industry. For more than a decade, I've led group workout classes for multiple studios and methods. This is much more than a side hustle - it is a creative outlet that provides both a physical and mental challenge, while connecting me with incredible clients and friends in the Atlanta community.
My close friends and colleagues would describe me as dedicated and dependable. I thrive under pressure and am constantly looking forward to the next challenge.
I’ve gotten to where I am today because of the network I’ve built and a few cheerleaders that have guided me along the way. If you are reading this, you are part of that network. Thanks for being here!
Nickname: Painter. I’m that friend that you end up calling by their last name. Unfortunately, I have zero talent with a paintbrush. That personal branding would just be TOO easy!
I overuse emoticons :) …and exclamation points!
I’ve been in dance class since I could walk. I’m trained in everything from ballet to rhythm tap, hip-hop and contemporary.
Strong believer that dark chocolate should be consumed daily. Research shows it’s good for the heart; the same can be said for red wine!
I have a twin! If you saw us side-by-side you wouldn’t even know we are related.
Favorite quote: “Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass. It’s about learning to dance in the rain.”
