The historic city of Conyers, Georgia recognized they needed a more vibrant city logo to better communicate all the city has to offer. The challenge was creating a versatile logo that would speak to the unique qualities of the town, while remaining visually appealing on multiple platforms; including the website, marketing materials, directional signage, and more.
I partnered with the Director of Public Relations and Tourism for the City of Conyers and served as the project manager from start-to-finish. We hosted focus groups with community leaders to understand the resident’s perception of their hometown. We took that feedback, along with research I had conducted to develop a plan to re-imagine the brand personality of the city. The tagline Celebration of Community was crafted, which paired beautifully with the City of Conyers, and spoke to the purpose of this re-brand project. A pattern suite was created to increase awareness of the city’s amenities and recognize special events and occasions.
The end result was reason to celebrate! Confetti cannons literally boomed at the brand launch celebration at the 2017 annual Conyers St. Patrick’s Day parade. This press release was written to announce the new logo and start spreading the excitement.
